The Fly North 87 Challenge

Score 87% or higher on your FAA written exam and we credit 100% of your ground school tuition toward flight training with Fly North.

The fine print, in plain English

  • Attend or replay every class and pass each stage quiz.
  • Take your FAA written within 60 days of finishing the course.
  • Your first attempt is the one that counts. Under 87% earns no credit.
  • The credit applies to flight training with Fly North and is valid for 12 months.

What if I miss a night?

Every session is recorded, so you can catch up online.

Can I take ground school fully online?

Yes. Sporty's self-paced course, which we sell, is a fully acceptable ground school. It just isn't part of the 87 Challenge.

Do I need a plane for ground school?

No. Ground school is classroom knowledge only.
