A Discovery Flight at Fly North is $299 and includes 60 minutes of flight time with a certified flight instructor in one of our training aircraft. No experience, license or medical is required, and the time is logged in a free logbook that counts toward your pilot certificate.

Your flight day
- Arrive 15 minutes early and meet your CFI.
- Ground brief, then a hands-on preflight.
- Your CFI handles takeoff and landing; you fly in between.
- Debrief and logbook sign-off.

Do I actually fly the plane?
Yes. You fly the climbs, turns and descents. Your CFI handles the takeoff and landing.
Does it count toward my license?
Yes. The time is logged with a certified flight instructor in your own logbook.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes. You can have a guest with you in the back seat, so a friend or family member can share the flight.
How old do I have to be?
Most flyers 8 and up can participate. A parent or guardian signs for minors.
What should I wear and bring?
Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, sunglasses and a photo ID. Headsets are provided.
What if the weather is bad?
Flights are weather-dependent. We reschedule at no charge.
