Fly North Aviation is a flight school at Aurora State Airport (KUAO), 25 minutes south of Portland. We train pilots from a first Discovery Flight through Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine and CFI, in our wide fleet of over 15 airplanes.

It's rarely talent. It's cancelled lessons, a rotating cast of instructors, no clear picture of what's left, and costs that creep because progress stalls.
How we do it
- Primary + Reserve CFI. An instructor's sick day doesn't cost you a week.
- Independent stage checks. Pre-Solo, Cross-Country and Final, each flown with a separate check instructor.
- You always know where you are. Progress tracked in Flight Schedule Pro and on the Pilot Journey Wall.
- A busy, towered Class D airport. Real-world radio and traffic from your first lesson.

The 87 Challenge
Score 87% or higher on your first attempt at the FAA written exam and we credit 100% of your Private or Instrument ground school tuition toward your flight training.
